Tracey Grady, LMHC

What type of clients do you work with?

I work with individuals (13+), couples, and families.

While I work with a variety of issues, I specialize in a holistic mind/body approach that incorporates improving client’s self-regulation (our ability to manage and respond effectively to stressors).  Dysregulation most often shows up in the clients I work with as addictions, interpersonal conflict, stress, trauma, somatic concerns, and anxiety but can affect all areas of our lives. I also enjoy working with people who struggle with body image issues and have found yoga to be an effective support with this population.

What would you like clients to know about how you work?

My role as a therapist is to collaborate with clients by creating a place of safety where they can explore the entirety of their experience without judgement. My approach is deeply rooted in the belief that we all have an innate capacity to heal and that therapy can help us explore and understand what has blocked this growth in the past and what factors currently inhibit this growth.  While understanding and insight are important aspects of healing, research shows that learning to regulate our thoughts and feelings at a bodily level (often referred to as a bottom up approach) can enhance the healing process by providing a stable foundation to explore both our internal and external experiences.

While I am a yoga instructor and value the gifts this discipline has to offer, I leave it up my clients to decide if this is something they would like to explore. Some of my clients prefer more traditional talk therapy and I am respectful of their choice. I also work with clients who are supported by other therapists whose work with me is exclusively focused around developing a deeper connection to their body.

What days of the week do you see clients?

In person on Tuesdays & Thursdays and Mondays & Wednesday via Telehealth

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I currently accept most Premera, Regence, Blue Cross Blue Shield plans. I am not currently able to accept Apple Health or Medicaid,  If you are interested in using insurance for your sessions, the best way to determine your coverage is to fill out an insurance quote with my biller. This can be done here:  Prestige Medical Billing

What else are you passionate about?

These days I am passionate about cultivating and sustaining balance in my life. Cooking, yoga, music, and spending time outdoors connects and grounds me, while spending time with friends & family, traveling, and my work stretch me and help me evolve. I have found that when I am able to balance these passions my life feels meaningful and abundant.
