Jordan Long, LMHCA, LSWAIC
What type of clients do you work with?
I work with individuals (ages 12+) seeking support with managing and reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, and suicidality. I have experience working with service members, military spouses, military children, and veterans. Additionally, I work with those serving in chronically high-stress work environments, including law enforcement and first responders.
What would you like clients to know about how you work?
My job isn’t to tell my clients what to think or do. Instead, I focus on understanding my client’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to develop a plan with them for achieving their mental health goals. I’m patient, non-judgmental, and not afraid to talk about difficult topics. I use the following therapeutic approaches in working with clients: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR).
Do you accept insurance?
I am not accepting insurance at this time. However, if you have out-of-network benefits included in your insurance plan, I can provide a receipt called a "superbill" which can be used to request reimbursement from your insurance provider.
What days of the week do you see clients?
I offer in-person sessions on Mondays and online appointments Tuesday through Friday.

What else are you passionate about?
I strive to have a sustainable work-life balance so that I can enjoy quality time with my family and also provide quality support to the clients I am blessed to work with. Whenever possible, I like to explore the local area by going on hikes and scenic drives. I also love spending time with my three dogs who have big personalities and tons of energy (two German Shepherds and a Cairn Terrier).
